Richard Hinkle is the founder of
Group Five West.
A young man from Pennsauken Township, New Jersey, landed in Little Rock to complete a short stint in the U.S. Air Force. The state of Arkansas and its people offered a quality of life that felt comfortable. Once his Air Force obligation was complete, Richard moved back to New Jersey and decided to follow his passion for art.
He attended the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where he studied graphic design. After college, Richard gained experience by working for some small agencies in the Philadelphia area that represented some well-known and international clients like RCA Victor Corporation, Smith Kline & French, and New Holland Farm Manufacturing Company.
His insightful creative and methodical problem-solving and technical skills paved the way for the agency to obtain a long list of successful client relationships, which explains the agencies client-retention rate that is twice the industry average.
